Today the airport is operated by Eskilstuna kommunföretag AB - a municipality owned company.
Eskilstuna Municipality is since turn of the year owner of the runway. Present use of Eskilstuna Airport is made up mainly of light trainers. About 10,000 movements are performed annually by air taxi, transport and ambulance operators, by flying school activities and general aviation.
The airport has five operators:
European-Air-Cargo has the operating responsibility, while AB Nordflyg (a Cargo Airline) and Nord Flyg Service AB performs air maintenance. Lidair Flying School as well as Eskilstuna Flying Club are also established at the airport.
Some 30-40 hectares of land are available to the west of the airport for development into aviation-related industrial areas.
