An infrastructure and logistics centre
The city of Eskilstuna can serve a European market of potentially some 25 million people. Within a radius of 100 kilometres, there is a market exceeding 3 million people.

Infrastructure
The well-developed infrastructure provides fast and efficient transportation for both people and cargo. Stockholm is one hour away and the Nordic capitals of Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen as well as Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius and S:t Petersburg in Russia are also within easy reach.

The infrastructure around Lake Mälaren valley is being expanded with new highways and high-speed train lines. These transport networks meet in the valley district of Lake Mälaren, thus placing Eskilstuna at the centre of an efficient transportation hub.

There is potential for further improvments by developing Eskilstuna Airport, situated 13 kilometers east of the city, between the E20 motorway and the Svealandsbanan high-speed railway. How to get there

Logistics
Between the airport and Eskilstuna city centre, a number of logistics companies have established themselves. Just nearby the airport, there are plans for an industrial park, designed to attract companies specialising in transportation-related activities.

The advanced infrastructure is one reason why many companies have chosen Eskilstuna as their distribution hub, and this is an excellent foundation for further expansion. Both the Lake Mälaren valley and Northern Europe are already well served by the distribution system centred in and around Eskilstuna.
